[Official] Geforce GTX 460 Club - Page 52

post #511 of 4095
You're right, it doesn't. Maxes out at 850 at 1.087mV and 803 at 1.00mV. ;__;

My gtx 460 isn't worthy for this club.

Don't be silly, you obviously just bought a card with a bad chip... Apply if you want, we welcome everyone with a gtx460
post #513 of 4095
not bad, average.
i think there are just too many people with good chips here that ur average chip looks bad when it really isn't.
800 MHz at stock volt is acceptable quality.

although mine does 820 @ 0.95v

Yep.. definitely an overclocking lemon. I'll apply once I find my max core/memory clocks. I'm having shutdowns/ artifact freezing at 2080MHz mem due to heat. =( I don't wanna make you re-update my clocks later on anyways.

I think you're being too nice with my card. I have yet to see a gtx 460 that overclocks worse than mine. (Lowest I've ever seen is 860MHz) A few good cards can even get 850 stable at stock! I'm sure if any of you overclockers got a card like mine you'd want to RMA ASAP.

Is the 460 really that elite/expensive that you need a photo proof of ownership?

Gah, finally given in to temptation and snagged a GTX 560 Ti off Fry's. Guess I'll be out of the club, then. It has been a pleasure to use this wonderful card; very flexible and cost-effective, the GTX 460 is indeed one of the best bang-for-buck GPU's out there in the market. It has served me well for nearly 3 months, giving me the performance I needed to run most games at their best settings.

Sadly I felt that, although it really works well, my 460 is not enough to satisfy my unique gaming needs. I craved for more, and the promised performance improvements of its bigger brother the 560 Ti really allured me.

Things unfortunately must come and go. So... farewell.

Question for all of you. I have a 460 would it serve me better to get another 460 in sli or just try and sell it and get a 580. Btw, I love AA graphic intensive games and all that.

if u use full HD resolution and like 16x AA and higher, GTX 580
if u use full HD resolution and prefer 8x AA or lower, GTX 460 1 GB SLI
if u use less than full HD resolution and prefer 4x AA or lower, GTX 460 768 MB SLI
