Thanks for answering so quickly. Alright, so I guess I will go with the SLI config then.

Was a pleasure having you around, before you go though, you do know the gtx460 runs at the same speed as the gtx560 once it is overclocked?
If I upgraded from my 460 then I would probably buy a 570

Anywayz, cya around.

Thanks. Yeah, I'm running the FutureMark suite of benchmark tests and my OC'ed 460 even surpasses the stock 560 Ti in some tests. Obviously I got my 560 overclocked and it zoomed past through in scores.

Been a pleasure as well, my good man. See you guys again.

I might as well sign up, although these crappy eVGA GTX460 SC EE cards overheat and cannot take an overclock without completely crashing my system and corrupting data, but here goes:

Yay I feel proud of my little Palit Sonic Card now I can get a kombustor stable 850Mhz @ stock, but the temps aren't great, can hit up to 90C on a stability test . But it lacks the extra heatsink they give the sonic platinum. Do you think it is worth it to have the memory at 2000Mhz? I reckon it's generating quite a bit of heat, and i'm not sure about the performance gain.

EDIT

I'll take that back lol, it's stable on kombustor but on heaven I get random coloured star type things poping up every now and again I'm assuming that's a problem with the clock speed?

Question, im thinking of buying another GTX 460 hawk, so i can run SLI. Only my PSU is a Antec signature 650w.

Should it be enough? I did run SLI before with a Palit gtx 460, just too see how it went. But a HAWK has a little higher TDP.

I run two 460s with a 650w PSU, so you should be fine and you'll have some room to play with trust me. alot of people on these forums do alot of overkill so don't be pressured into the overkill unless a) you plan on some heavy expansions or b)you just have the $$$ and want to grow some e-peen.

Good choice my man, and just to give you a bit of a gauge as to what you power consumption might be, use this site: http://extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine

Look at my sig rig. According to that site, I'm using 573w. I could still add a couple more things if I wanted to. But do i plan on making a bunch of changes in the future. Yes, but mainly swap outs. Swapping old processor for a new one. And I'll be adding an SSD or two as well. And I overclock.

So yeah, go ahead and have fun with that extra GTX 460 power. And be sure to upgrade your drivers once you get it.
