Getting another 460 gang, need to SLI for the 1080p i play at. Plus i wanna go mash up some 570-580 scores wink.gif anybody suggest a good 775 motherboard with 2x pci-e x16 slots? and its gotta be a good overclocker so i can still get 3.5ghz on my quad, thanks
post #543 of 4095
You're going to be using the SLI hack or getting a second hand Asus P5N32-SLi or similar - I don't think you can get good 775 boards new anymore?

Not really bothered will use the hack if its needed, but that mobo looks ok i guess. is it a better overclocker than my current do you know?
Your Q8400 isn't known for being a great overclocker though. Probably even better more recent sli 775 board is the EVGA 780i FTW edition, but not owning either cannot say. The P45 has a good rep.

Got my Canon back from repairs today!! woop!

So heres a pic of my updated rig.
Bottom fan is a 38mm thick, 3000rpm Scythe Ultra Kaze. Pushes 140cfm at 46dba.
Added 2 more sticks of G-Skill RipJaw ram, my total is now 8GB. The one stick is not visible in the image as it has been squeezed under the cpu cooler.
IMG_3089.JPG
I do a fair bit of 3D modelling in my free time, so on a slightly random note, here is a scene I created and rendered using a GPU renderer. Card was at 900Core when I rendered.
Stock.png
I personally like the results but some people may not like the overuse of contrast. I think it gives it a nice western feel.

Peace
