Hello i'm a bit new to overclocking and I'm very interested in doing it for my GTX460 I'm pleased with stock performance but as we all do we want more

I've read some of the forum and I have an Idea of what to do I have MSI afterburner and heaven's benchmark 2.5

so to start off I was wondering what would be reccomended Voltage for around 890-900mhz

I own a Coolmaster Fulltower has prety good cooling in my opinion at 860mhz 1.050V Memclock at 2000 I had a steady 60C under full load for about 15min in kombustor

do you have fans blowing on the cards as well? and or mosfet heat sinks? and have you unlocked the voltage yet?

Well I haven't changed anything as it comes from strock Considering temps I havnt seen it as a must The tower has a big fan in the door blowing into the card not sure the size

I just attempted 900mhz with 1.062V Memclock 2000 Kombustor is giving me steady temps of 53C-55C Heaven's 2.5 settings to high AA 4 aniotroph or w.e 4 temps stayed 62-63C

I was a bit dumb and had the intake fan on the door a bit blocked I moved my tower and I'm keeping better temps I was expecting way higher temps at this clocks considering what I heave read in the forum

what you guys think can I leave it like this or should I back down a little to be on the safer side?

Are a lot of you guys running VRM cooling, I have a twin frozr 768mb version and I got 900 core at 1065mv, max temp was 62c.

I am also getting a directcu for sli. Should I worry about getting heatsinks?

those are really good temps to tell you the truth on air (stock bios fan setting to boot) I would play a few games and keep a eye on the temps if you don't see any artifact's or tearing and the temp stays around 60~65c you should be fine! my max temp after 3 hours of pushing it with BFBC2 at max settings is 54c but I am on water

Also, is there anyway to change the BIOS to unlock the max fan settings? I'd like to set it SAFELY at 100%. And I'd like to achieve 950/1900/2100 soon, would 1087mV be enough?
