My 460 just burned itself dead frown.gif
Was changing the thermal tape between the heatsinks and when i put the system of pfffrrrttt and alot of smoke..NOOO
How the hell?
Must of been something between the 2 vrm or the tape itself frown.gif

Oh well maybe a reason to upgrade redface.gif

That is never a good thing, even if you wanted to upgrade, I feel sorry for you! I hope you are able to get a replacement, this day and age money seems to be in short supply, I myself still need to replace my main system after a total loss of board, memory, and CPU! I have looked into most cards and have come to conclusion that twin 480s or twin 670s are my next doing set up, most likely the 670s as they seem to be the best bang for the Buck now

My room still smells like burned plastic grr..and I'm using a 8800GT now :s

yeah i'm gonna wait for the 660 / Ti now,however,i can buy a 5870 for €90.Not really sure if its better.
i was just 50% in Max Payne 3 grr

I would wait for the 660 then, not knocking the 5870 but if you where going to bye old tech you mite as well get the 480 used as it goes for 200usd new! But as I have seen some really big jumps with the 600s in performance I would hang on for them if you can, truth be told I think the 600s are going to be top dog for at least 4 years with the current games technology, and it doesn't look like the technology is going to advance in any near future

Must be bad luck in the air....my faithful LG 22" monitor from 2008 just up and totally died. no smell, no fizz, no action.

I gotta buy a new 24" to replace it. For the moment, a mere 20" is standing in...
