Best mouse out there?

I have been using a Logitech MX518 for as long as I can remember, except for the 510. I love it to death but I can't get over how short it's lifespan is. They usually last me about 6 months before I drench it in sweat and something goes wrong.

I despise wireless mice, let's just get that out there now. I tried a G5 and it just didn't do it for me.

The last mouse other than the 518 that I tried was the Razer Lachesis. Cool mouse but it didn't fit my hand quite like the 518. Matter of fact, it kind of hurt. It was very light though, which really doesn't matter to me.

Anyways, I am in the market for a new mouse again and I don't know which it will be. I haven't been following mice lately simply because I know the 518 is always there just in case.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a new gaming mouse?

i have a g9 and it fits my hand perfect. granted they are overpriced, but its a nice mouse. if you can find one onsale id go for it. btw, i have small hands, so the g9 is perfect for small hands. i found the g5 to be too big.

If you want the BEST with all the bells and whistles, try a Razer Mamba. Costs $120, but it's pretty much the best. I do like though, my Razer Deathadder. It's light, and fits my hand nice. I tried the mx 518, and the g500, but they just didn't seem to fit my hand, and fit my grip just right.

I have a g9x. Great mouse. Found it for $47 at Best Buy.

I highly recommend it unless you like a palm grip.

I want to Love Razer products, I really do, But every single one I own gets broken within the first 4 months...and i dont drop, slam, bang or even lift my mouse off the pad it just sits there, clicking.

I've had both the naga and the mamba (multiple times through replacements) the mousewheel is terrible, squeaks, squeals and straight up breaks, on my Naga's it constantly "forgets" what selection to use for the side buttons switching between 123 and Num even without being moved, the bottom is terrible for collection hair/dust etc and is constantly having sensor issues (Same issues are to be had with the mamba minus the button issues) I could just be a fluke, but like I said I've had both of these 2-3x and one of my gaming friends has one as well and has the exact same issues. I find the sides to be slippery and hard to hang onto as well, possibly grip style related.

I'd check out some of the Roccat's or maybe the logitech G9X or G700

there are alot of options out there.

I personally haven't tried Roccat so I cant speak to reliability.

But I haven't had a microsoft or a logitech mouse fail me yet.

I've also been looking at mice here lately. I've been using my MX518 for at least 3 years. I've been looking at the G500 a lot. I think I'm going to go with it when I see it on sale again.

I said the same thing 4 years ago about the G5 when I was back looking at mice. Swapped to the G5 and instantly went back to a 518. I don't wanna make the same mistake :x
