Best mouse out there? - Page 2

i have always used the logitech (mx518 and an older one i cant remember, but still love em) mice until i got a Razor Deatheradder in my hand and just LOVE it. I never had a prob w them till i did a firmware update and it totally bricked it. whats worse is that i bought it like 2 years ago and could NOT find the receipt (still had the org box and everything) and their support told me too bad basically. so that really pissed me off and lost some points w them. regardless though, when gaming it rules IMO

Yeah I think I'll pick a G500 up tonite and if I don't like it, bringin it back! The G700 is more color pleasing but the buttons are hideous!

I'll let you know what I think!

There is no "best mouse", although dependant on playing style and grip, I can give suggestions.

I skimmed the thread and saw that no one mentioned the Naos 5000. Just a suggestion.

Well I wrote this whole review on the mouse and then accidentally deleted it all. Needless to say I won't be writing it again.

Short story...

PROS: New grip is great but feels weird coming from a 518. Looks cool but just wish it was black. Incredibly smooth - at least as smooth as the 518 if not smoother.

CONS: This is awful, and it's already pissing me off. Pissing me off to the point that I might return it unless I get used to it in the next couple days: The mouse wheel BLOWS. Legit. The mouse wheel is not a click-wheel as I prefer. You can essentially shoot it forward and it will continue to scroll up until you stop it. Not sure how anyone would get used to that but...right now it sucks.

Overall: Seems like an awesome functional mouse. Better than the 518 in feel, appearance, and usage. I want my click-wheel back though.

It sounds like you have hyper scrolling on. Click the middle button to disable.

YOU'RE THE MAN!

That fixed it. Although I still have a complaint about it simply because sometimes while I scroll up, it will scroll down one again, and vice versa. Doesn't happen often, but now I will not bring this mouse back!

Not to mention I am very impressed with the cloth cord. I was tired of getting new 518's and having to get the cord to finally stay the way I wanted it. I remember trying to tape it at one point to get it straightened out. I have a pair of Denon AH-D7000 headphones and the cloth cord on those are also to die for. Hopefully everyone starts adopting this soon...

Mionix Naos 5000
I have large hands and have tried plenty of mice; it is the best I have used.
