I use fraps and dont have issues. I would check the version make sure you have the latest one.
Make sure that the FPS is at 30. Also if you have a separate drive, have the files save there.
Im not at home but could look more into my settings later.

why separate drive? I have 1tb i think thats plenty

writing to separate drive is faster and helps fraps a bit.

also try checking or unchecking the lock frame rate box.

the major bottlenecck of recording programs is the hard drive. fraps records raw footage which lessens the stress on the cpu but if ur hard drive cant write that big of the file size ull experience stutters.

just get an ssd or find another program that compresses the footage, but then you will need a much faster cpu.

FYI: My setup is like this. I have Fraps installed on SSD. I have it saving the videos to a seperate F3 drive.(This def helps with the 3.9GB Lag)
The GPU and CPU obviously make a difference as well, but from your setup you shouldnt have to worry about that too much depending on your game.

-Play at a lower Res
-Save to a separate drive than where the programs are running
-Set FPS to 30
-I lock the FPS as well
-you could try changing the affinity, since its gaming all the game needs it 2 cores.(2 for Fraps, 2 for Game-as stated before)

Overall from you setup, your bottle neck is going to be your single HDD. Especially if your WD is green, that is going to hurt you bad.
