SpeedFan Fails to Initialize

Thread Starter
SpeedFan will run just fine sometimes, but other times it just won't work. The application seems to pick and choose when it wants to run properly.

Example: SpeedFan will start at startup like normal. Eventually I will either shutdown or restart. After starting back up, Process Explorer will show the process in the list, but it will not do anything. No systray icon, or any other way to access options. Is this a known issue amongst Dell laptops? I understand that there is a special setting in SpeedFan (which I have turned on) that allows Dell support.

Check my Sig Rig (XANADU) for additional specs.

Have you made sure that it's part of the start-up folder in your desktop?

start -> all programs -> startup

Yes, or else it wouldn't start on logon the times that it does.
