Graphics Card Upgrade for brother

Thread Starter
My brother has a Dell XPS 400, with a 375Watt MAX PSU. He currently has a GeForce 8400 and has some performance issues. I looked up some decent cards and I think I'd like to go with the SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 4650 512MB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16. He has the stock Dell Setup as far as Motherboard, CPU, Fans, HDD, etc. However we have installed 1.5gb more of ram, totaling 2gb now. Will he be able to use this GFX card, without issues? I read some comments a while back and heard of people using a 8800 in the XPS 400 but I am unaware if they had a larger PSU.

Thanks

First I would upgrade the PSU. I would try to get a 4850 used... I've seen them as low as 40 bucks and it does pretty well for the price. I think I've seen them even new that low AR.

I remembered XP PSU (not all Dell units) is pretty solid. 4670 is 45w GPU so it should be an issue at all.

Get him a decent ~500w PSU and a used 4850, or a 5670. If you find a deal on a 768MB 8800GTX, jump on that bad boy for cheap

The thing is, we don't wanna spend over $50. I just wanna know if this would work or not on the current PSU? I figured if the 8800 did on this 385 then this 5450 would too. The 385watts is pretty solid IMO, i'd call it a Antec 350 earthwatts comparison.
