your board doesnt have a speaker? what about your computer case? almost all computer cases come with a speaker you can plug into the front panel io on the motherboard.

also if your bios has an option for "quick boot" try enabling that to see if it helps.

also look through all your settings in bios under standard menu and advanced menu. you might have it set to hault on something. disable any onboard features you are not using so that they can be eliminated. like pata(if it has it) usb3.0 etc. also make sure you have your pcie as your main video output. make sure the integrated chip video is disabled.

Oh you mean the plugs that came with the case? There were two. One was HD Audio and the other AC 97. I'm new to this so I'm not quite sure what they are for.

You'll want to hook that up then listen for beeps and that give you a starting point. as the preious posted said it probably came with the case and hooks to the io panel at the bottom.

JFP2 then. For better branded cases, the speaker is already inbuilt into the case.

For cheaper, made in China cases, sometimes, the speaker is separate and you just poke the damn thing into the speaker plugs with the speaker hanging from the 2 wires. You may have dropped or omitted installing the speaker.

The speaker basically give beeps. Do you recall when you start up PC there are a few beeps here and there? Yup, that speaker is to give you the beeps.

The beeps are like codes to the user. So depending on the motherboard's bios, you can try to troubleshoot the problem depending on the beeps. For example, if you graphics card is faulty, you may hear, one long beep and 2 short beeps.

I hope this helps.

Just checked everything. Only things that the case came with are screws and standoffs.

Also, I've never heard beeps. It's an Antec 1200.

Yeah his case doesnt have a built in speaker so it'll be the speaker with 2 wires that hangs. It may have come with the motherboard

It'll look like this
