Ok I get windows experience is a joke because it is back up in the 7's, but turns out there is a problem after all. I ran some real benchmarks with Heaven Benchmark 2.1 and found that there was a big drop in FPS after installing the SSD.

I ran this test on the 18th, before the SSD was installed:

And this test today, the 26th, after SSD installation.

well is it possible that there is something unrelated to the ssd that has changed?

you fresh installed, so maybe you are forgetting some settings or something, it is really hard to tell.

To my knowledge there are no different settings that would affect the GPU that much. When installing the SSD I did have to move around some hardware in my case, and also i played with the registry so that my Users folder was on my storage drive.

that is really odd.

And another thing.

why do people always mess with their registry to move the documents and music folder to a different drive? you don't need to.

Look at my picture, you can change locations like that.

idk man I just followed this guide, http://www.overclock.net/ssd/664738-...secondary.html

thanks for the help anyways. I might try remounting the GPU, there are some wiring/cooling issues that may be affecting it.

why does WEI get so much hate?
it's a very basic benchmark tool, there's nothing wrong with it.
people are just hating on it because it's a microsoft marketing product.
it's not the most accurate benchmark but it still shows you how good your hardware is.
