Corsair H70 Thermal Paste

Quick question - does anyone know if the stock 'Shin Etsu' paste on the Corsair H70 sticks to the processor? The stock stuff that my AMD cooler came with stuck to the processor like glue, so I replaced it with MX-3 which doesn't.

I have spare MX-3, and I will put it on if the Shin Etsu sticks

Its fine. Comes off well with rubbing alcohol like most TIMs do. Actually comes off easier then most I would say.

the H70 has to be twisted to be taken off, if you take it off right, so there shouldn't be any problem, but no in my experience, it doesn't stick.

I have never heard of any problems with the stock H50/H70 thermal paste sticking to any CPU's but since I don't own one I would wait on other users to chime in with their experiences... Although I have done a lot of research on the H50 and have never heard of this problem.

Yeah I need to clear that up, I have not ever owned an H70 or H50 either, but I have owned tubes of Shin Etsu. SO as long as Corsair dont load them down with TIM, Im guessing it should be fine.

Good Luck!! Have fun with it!
