How many and what kind of fans (power consumption) do you intend to control?

definatly at least 4-5.

The CPU heatsink fan is going to stay on the mobo.

mostly just the case fans.

i got a corsair 1000hx psu so pumping the juice isnt a problem.

Fan controllers have a "watts per channel" spec, that's why I asked about the power consumption of your fans. Your power supply doesn't really matter in this case.

haha dang it. i figured thats why you asked . surfing....

Front: 230 x 30 mm red LED fan x 1 / 700 RPM / 19 dBA
Top: 230 x 30 mm red LED fan x 1 / 700 RPM / 19 dBA
CPU- cooling fan: 120 mm x 1 + 230 x 30 x 1)
Rear: 140 x 25 mm fan x1 / 1200 RPM / 17 dBA

looks like 3-4 fans to be exact.

Those fans will be pretty light on the power consumption so it shouldn't be anything to worry about. The NZXT Sentry 2 has more than enough channels and watts per channel for that setup. In my experience it's better to manually adjust fan controllers than to rely on (often glitchy) auto fan control.

I just changed my brothers computer to a NZXT tempest evo camo painted and since this case has a lot of fans he needs a fan controller and I was thinking of getting this one for him.

For the price and looks was the best option I could found. If you have prime with Amazon you can save 2 bucks on shipping

edit: as posted above me... knob fan controllers seem to be better and like them better, but my bro liked the idea of the lcd on this one.

Its a decent one I heard someone using it. But I'd suggest the one that goes on your desk NZXT Sentry LXE that puppy is nice. Granted it is more expensive but hey it works and its "Exotic" Looking. But either way if you do choose to go this route, you will be fine running 3-5 fans on just that. Power is your last worry.
