They should have hired Fergie IMO for the following reasons:

1. Shes hot in a skanky kinda way
2. They could pay her in crystal meth

Do you really think a company as big as Intel does nothing randomly? They hired him because they think It can create revenue, and thats about it.

Intel, in this move, is catering to what it feels will sell it's products best. And all it needs do in reality is drop the prices on its products, making them dollar for dollar competitive with AMD. And if it does feel it has to have a front man, perhaps making a better choice would help. Hell, Data from ST would have been loads better.
You are looking at things from the wrong perspective. The fact that now they announce the cars with Megan Fox semi-naked onto them instead of showing their true numbers is because that is exactly what sells more. So, who the heck caused this? WE DID. Its like TV. Guess what? TV only repeats programs that get enough share...which also means that all the crappy programs that infest TV are there BECAUSE OF US. If there is a program that people do not like it will not get share and thus it will disappear.

So, instead of pointing your finger at them, for their BS marketing tactics, you should point it at people. Because its the people (or their reaction) the one that decides wether something works or not. As simple as that.

Now, the sad part is not that they use Megan Fox...is that the world is full of idiots that like to look at tits instead of specs and comparisons when buying a car We are the failure here, as we are being volunteerly raped once and again...and we even smile in the process.

I'm sure people would have the same reaction. Not to mention that would mean that they did a complete 180 on what they believe in as far as keeping low key in the lime light and such. I'm just not a fan of marketing tactics like this, it's definitely a smart choice on Intel's part but not one I particularly like. Not because of the artist but because this is the way marketing is going now a days. Let's grab an icon of the young crowd and get them to push our product instead of actually explaining why a product is worthy of purchase. Look at the the beats pushed by Dr. Dre, complete garbage but they sell well because they are pushed by Dre. The artist doesn't matter it's the marketing behind it that's upsetting.

Again, where is the mention of him marketing anything?

will.i.am is a pop music producer. He is known for pop hip-hop. Early Black Eyed Peas music was never about guns, gangs, drugs, money or anything like that. Newer Black Eyed Peas are just trendy club pop songs.

will.i.am also produces music for music artists in Asia and other countries.

I do not understand where the will.i.am hate is coming from.
