This PSU enough for my rig?

Thread Starter
I'm building a new rig and wondering if Seasonic S12II-520 Bronze is powerful enough (and overall a quality/silent PSU) for the following components:

i5 2500K
AsRock P67 Extreme4
Scythe Mugen 2
GB/MSI GTX 560
Samsung F3 1TB
4GB 1600Mhz RAM
Fractal Design R3
DVD-RW

I will OC the CPU and perhaps the GPU, so will the PSU keep up with everything?

Thank you alot for helping me!

Should be plenty, im not sure about overclocking though, i'd definitely pick up a nice 750w or 800 instead imo

Our test system is based on a power hungry Core i7 965 / X58 system. This setup is overclocked to 3.75 GHz.

GTX560 is a 170w GPU, that S12II-520 unit can pull 40a/480w on 12v so you are fine.

The S12II 520 is an excellent unit and it is perfect for your setup.

Perfect choice. You should be able to run that rig at stock on a good 400/450w unit. With the 520 you have a decent amount of headroom.

Thanks alot guys! So it's good to know that with that PSU, I still can OC without worries that the juice of the PSU will run out.
