8xAA is not necessary with 1920x1080. 4xAA is plenty most of the time, unless you use an inferior form of AA


Also, he might not be able to max crysis or metro 2033 at a steady 60FPS, but for any other game, even a 460 would be enough. 580 is a little much for 1080p. But no matter, at least you will retain a perfectly smooth gameplay during intense scenes.

And alienware? It's overpriced hardware. IIRC the panel you recommended is 120hz right? Well you can get other 120hz's cheaper. But I'd still recommend IPS over a TN 120hz....
