How to connect speakers from PS3/Monitor setup

Thread Starter
So recently I've decided to move my PS3 into the bedroom and have it connected to my computer monitor via HDMI, but I'm a bit of a loss now on how to get audio from my NHT Superzero 2.0 speakers when playing my PS3. Currently the speakers are connected to my HK 3490 receiver, which is then connected to my computer's sound card.

Probably a simple solution to this but currently I have no idea what to do. Thanks in advance for the help.

Does the receiver have optical in? that should work if you can hook it up that way.

with my xbox i have another cable that gives me sound outputs when i use hdmi, so i can just hook my speakers to that, but im not sure about the ps3

Yeah the receiver has optical in, which is what I'm using to connect it to my computer. So does this mean I have to keep switching out from the PS3 and computer every time?

Kind of annoying, but I'll see if connecting to my PS3 with optical in works first.
