Sapphire 6950 2GB - Low Perfomance

Hello guys, I joined the forum because yesterday I purchased an ATi 6950 2GB and, from what I've seen, my perfomance in games is really low when compared to other PC's.

Here are some examples:
Crysis: Very High, 1280 x 1024, no AA: 40 FPS
Far Cry 2: Ultra High, 1280 x 1024, no AA: 48 FPS
BFBC2: High, 1280 x 1024, no AA: 40-50 FPS
However, it seems that FPS have almost no variation when I turn up AA to 8x, on any of the games.

Is it possible there's a problem with my PC? (I did a clean Windows install and downloaded Catalyst 11.11a drivers as soon as I installed the card.

Specs:

CPU - Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 OC'd 3,2 GHz

RAM - DDR2 Single-Channel 3 GB (5-5-5-15)

Motherboard - ASUS P5QC

HDD - 313GB Western Digital WDC WD3200AAJS-00B4A0 ATA Device

Graphics Card - Sapphire ATi Radeon HD 6950 2 GB GDDR5 (latest drivers installed)

OS - Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit

I'm guessing the problem could be the RAM or motherboard, but can they really cause a game like Far Cry 2 (which apparently should run at more than 60 FPS maxed out with 4x AA at 1920 x 1080) or Crysis to have such low perfomance?

Thanks in advance guys

Chipliz

P.S: Sorry for my Engish, I'm 15 and from Argentina, so... yeah

Dude, your english is good for it being a second language!
Man... This could be one of those "could be anything" problems. A good place to start would be your mem. If you could get ahold of a single stick of 2gb RAM - or better yet, for testing purposes, a 1 gb stick - and try that by itself, that could solve it. If it doesn't,... Whew... Make a check list, try different things, and as each attempt at a solution fails, check it off the list. Process of elimination....

OK, I've been using 2 x 1GB at Dual Channel and 2 x 1 GB + 2 x 512 MB at Dual Channel, but it doesn't seem to affect perfomance in any way.
I'm guessing there's a compatibility problem with my motherboard (P5QC, not the greatest gaming mobo), so I'll just save a bit and buy a new one.
Is there any mobo you can suggest me which is compatible with C2Q's, DDR2 and, if possible, CrossFire?

I think you are going to have trouble finding a new Intel, DDR2 board that is Crossfire capable. At least when it comes to AMD boards, they just don't exist anymore. Go here and enter in your search parameters and see if there is anything available:
