2x GTX 460's in SLI FPS problem...

I have an issue where my FPS dropped immensely after configuring SLI. For an example, in BC2, my FPS would dip down to 30 and sometimes the animation would stutter which was pretty shocking considering it was fine with a single card. I'm not sure if this is a drivers issue or a bottleneck... I hope someone here knows the solution.

Here are my specs:

Mobo: Asus M4N98TD EVO
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 955 BE 3.2 GHz (stock)
RAM: Patriot Viper Xtreme DDR3 1600 MHz 8 GB
GPU: 2x PNY GTX 460 (factory overclocked @ 765/1530/1850) *Currently using 266.58 driver*
PSU: 700W OCz Modxtreme Pro

hmm maybe driver, try 260.99 one?

also, could be bottleneck too, not sure, try bumping the cpu to like 3.6ghz.

Thanks for the quick response.

Well, I installed the modded 266.44 driver seeing how people were happy with them. I honestly don't know though since I'm only getting 30 FPS in Assassin's Creed II with SLI. I'm thinking about doing a clean install of the driver.

Also, if it's not the driver and it's my CPU, are there any comprehensive guides and steps in OCing my AMD CPU on an Asus board? I've never OCed anything before so I'm pretty much clueless on how.

Alright so after doing a clean install of Nvidia driver 266.44, BC2 ran flawlessly, I was getting 60 FPS (vsync was on) under max settings BUT it'd constantly crash my GPU and system, forcing me to reboot manually. I'm sure someone out there has a fix for this but this is starting to aggravate me.

Well at least now I know my CPU isn't bottlenecking my performance...
