Help me find the right case with these features. My Brain is Fried!!

Hi all,

I have been waiting for this day since quite a while now.. infact a couple of years to be honest. I wanted to build a hi-performance PC for which i have been researching, reading and saving the dollars (which would end up at wrong places) Finally this is it, I am almost there, and I am done almost buying all the components that goes with my Sandy Bridge setup.

The only thing that remains to buy is a decent case. Now friends, i need your help on this.
There are a few features i have in my mind that i want in my case. Infact i have found some.. but couple of other features turned me down. And it is really driving me nuts. Please help!!

Here is what i am looking in a case. I will give some examples in the points below. but i ruled them out due to certain other factors that were a turn off, I will mention that below after these points.

1. ATX Full Tower, should be a full size tower to hold any motherboard size + a huge CPU cooler.

2. Very good Cooling/Fan placement is very important like in the FT02 and the high end cases of Cooler Master or Thermaltake. For eg:- couple of fans on the bottom of the case which helps rising heat to the top.

3. Decent and Sophisticated clean looks, like the ft02 or thermaltake spedo advance or even a sleek futuristic raven rv01 or rv02 is fine.

4. Nets and Mesh's on the fan and other area's of the case for keeping out dust and proper maintenance

5. Window on the left, unlike window side panel on the right as in ft02. The placement of my desktop is as such that the left side is seen, whereas the right side faces the wall.

6. More important, atleast 5-6 HDD bay's. I liked Raven RV02, but due to the lack of bay it was a huge turn off.

Now the part where i mentioned that i liked a couple of cases but made me think other wise.

1. HAF-X : is a good case, except I am looking for a decent looking case like ft02, but if i dont find something.. i might go with this one. Also one more thing i dont like abt this case is the side window panel.. which hides most of the interiors of the computer.

2. Silverstone FT02 : Is my first choice.. an ideal case.. perfect air cooling, ample hdd bays, good fan placements and many fans at the right places. But the biggest setback for me is that the clear side window panel is on the right side.. which will be facing the wall. I plan to have some neat UV sleeves, led's also led fan's and cathodes in mind. I think it adds spark to a decently looking hi-performance desktop. can this window be removed and placed on the left side.. by mod.. are there ppl who do this for a fair amount of charge.

3. RAVEN RV02 is a fantastic looking case... a good combination of decent looks and sleek futuristic style. But again the problem remains the same as above ft02, the window is on the right side facing the wall. Also there is limited option of HDD bays, only three!!

4. RAVEN RV01 is another option, has windows on the left side.. something that i wanted, has more hdd bay's around 5-6 of em. But there is a doubt in my mind on this. The front sliding door that pushes down looks weird.. like the case is pregnant. Also when you push that cap down.. the 5.4" bay looks like its in a hollow area. its so deep inside.. if i plan to put nzxt or aerocool touch screen fan lcd controllers.. they wont look cool. But that must be just me.. if someone has rv01 and can share their opinion.

5. Thermaltake Spedo Advance : is another good one, but again lack of side window panel (which is next to nil).

Well there were some cases that i liked.. but as i mentioned these were my obeservations bases on my requirements.

These are what i already brought.

CPU : i7 2600K Sandy Bridge from Micro Center (good deal)
Mobo : ASUS RoG Maximus IV Extreme
Cooler : Thermalright Silver Arrow
Memory : G.Skill Ripjaw X 16Gb i.e. 4 x 4 gb (perfectly matched modules recommended by G.Skill for SB)
PSU : Corsair AX850 850W Professional series Gold
GPU : EVGA GeForce GTX 570
BD Player/Burner : Pioneer Black 12X BD-R 2X BD-RE 16X DVD+R 5X DVD-RAM 8X BD-ROM 4MB Cache SATA Internal Blu-ray Burner Blu-ray Burner BDR-206BKS - OEM
DVD Player/burner : LITE-ON Black 24X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 8X DVD+R DL 24X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 12X DVD-RAM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2MB Cache SATA CD/DVD Burner - Bulk - OEM
Fan Controller : AeroCool Touch 2000 Controller, Panel
HDD : Have previously owned 8TB of hard disks... mostly by Seagate.
SSD : Still have to get this one, waiting for the new SSD drives by Intel due in Feb/march.

Now guys i need your help on this. I know i have been really picky and choosy.. but in a market where every other day we have a breakthrough in PC performance and design i am sure there should be a solution to my dilemma.

The Corsair 800D may be an option:

...or the 600T:

Yeah, the 800D is your best option at this point.... Or the Windowed version of the TJ07.

Guys thanks for suggesting 800D its a nice case, but doesn't i have a great cooling system. Reviews mention the lack of cooling + fan placement inside the case.

Chosing the right case is a pain if you are on the budget. If not go with any NZXT with price about 130-150 or COOLERMASTER HEF.

I have the same choice to make and here are few other buget choices: click here to see my thread.

Good luck.

I know most people won't really agree with me, but this is a full tower alternative (apparently Aerocool uses this same chassis):

Rosewill Thor

I'm using that cases little brother, the Rosewill Blackhawk. I'm able to fit 8 case fans in this, two 120mm intake in the front, two 150mm intake on the bottom, two 140mm exhaust on the top, a 120mm on the side, and a slim 120mm behind the MOBO cooling the chipset. There's also still room for a P/P H50 setup.

These are just other options.

I vote for

. It looks different in person, the only negative is there is no filters on the side panel fans. But there are filters on the bottom and everywhere else.
