P8P67 Pro not recognizing keyboard?! (searched)

Hey, I just built my sandy bridge system and it worked fine (eventually) except for one thing. The mobo does not recognize my logitech g15 or three other keyboards I tried. The g15 lights up and shows things on its little screen but doesn't actually work. My mouse and all other usb devices seem to work fine. I installed all the drivers from the disk but to no avail. Windows is giving me a "code10" error when I plug in a usb keyboard. I'm currently on bios 1003. Anyone else have this problem?

Flash the BIOS with 1053 ( you can try 1253 but alot of people complain about it being rather buggy )

Make sure your using the up to date drivers. The ones on the CD are junk.

Yeah I tried updating the bios to 1053 and the problem persists. I'm just really confused as to why this is happening. Is there anyway to boost the usb port voltage? Sometimes the background lighting on the g15 flickers like its not getting enough juice for some reason.

Do you have it plugged into the USB 3 ports?

I've tried every port with 3 different keyboards. The problem seems to be universal. Although it will only light up when using the usb 3 slots for some reason.

Did you update the driver for that keyboard (never used logitech keyboards but one with a screen I would imagine it has a driver or specific software for it)? Download the latest from logitech.

Yes I'm currently running the latest driver from Logitech. I've tried with other keyboards though so the specific g15 keyboard is not the issue I don't think.

you will need to do a complete format I think, there was a problem when you installed windows. This has happen to me and few other people.

i got the reverse problem...

install in the ps2 - doesn't recognize it. I got all the drivers and for a while it worked.

install in usb slot - okay.

i don't think it has the option to boot from keyboard/usb combo.

Well it seems the problem was fixed after I reinstalled windows (for the 4th time). Hopefully it doesn't happen again for some unknown reason. Damn these new chipsets! Thanks for the suggestions everyone!
