This is partially correct..... depends on the MB manufacturer, as to if they are proactive in updating the Marvell drivers. Gigabyte has done well with this, in fact I have a raid console for Marvell in my bios... since the last release. If your MB manufacturer has not updated for a while .. you may be better off in the Sata II for now. Just make sure you have the latest Bios, and when they have updated Marvell controller drivers.. try them.

for the reads it was 352 and for writes it was 136.
