I Think Its Dead : [broken resistor or transistor]

Thread Starter
was playing some crysis this morning and finished playing, closed the game went back to my desktop and went to take a shower, when i came back the computer was on but no video or usb, i hit the restart button confused as hell and got the dreaded one long beep followed by two short ones, my vid card is not working, i have re seated it, switched PCI-e slots and even tried my other gpu power connector all to no avail, are there any other tricks to try and see if it works, i have no other vid cards to test with nor any one to let me test my card on their computer.....

EDIT: after further inspection i found a broken resistor or transistor on my vid card

Other than the tops in this link, I have no other idea for you since you dont have another computer to use for troubleshooting.

W/o another GPU to try, and no on-board graphics to try, I'd say your kind of stuck. Don't rule out a prob w/ the mobo. MSi... Well, let's just say that as of this point they wouldn't be my first choice for a mainboard.
