Worse come to worse, if HIS wont help you, you could always get a capacitor with the same value as the one that blew off and solder it on yourself.

i think what i might end up doing is getting another one of the HD5770s from newegg and rmaing the other one and running Crossfire when i get the broken one back

You would have to shell out some cash initially but you could find a store with a 14 day return policy, buy a card to test with then return it for full refund after you have your situation sorted out (assuming that doesn't take longer than 2 weeks )...

I have done that with a PSU or two in the past.

lol yea, but the RMA will take 2-4 weeks and i have to go home and get the box and such for the card
