Can anyone else reproduce this problem?
Worked fine in 10.12 and previous but every time I play a YouTube video with 11.1/11.1a it crashes the browser.

Right click the flash video, click settings, and uncheck enable hardware acceleration.

Symptoms of having hardware acceleration enabled aren't exactly what you are experiencing, but it may help.

I know this solves the problem but it isn't necessarily a solution; it's more of a workaround. Disabling GPU acceleration removes AA and other enhancements.

Safari is the least problematic browser I've ever used.

That's happened to me in the past but it was because of an unstable OC.
