Recommended Server+ book to study for the certification test

Thread Starter
I'm a programming major, but after looking over the classes for networking, I've decided to finish that degree as well since i will only have to go to classes for 1 maybe 2 extra semesters

two classes for networking i can get out of taking are Server Admin and Network Securities. If i can get certified in those, then my teacher will waive the classes and give me credit for them.

He has recommended me http://www.amazon.com/CompTIA-Securi...5372037&sr=8-1
for the Security+ test

my question is can someone recommend me a good book for the Server+ certification test that they have either used, or know of someone who has used.

im currently going through the "configuring network infrastructor for windows server 2008" think its exam 70-642, tis a good book but really requires you to be able to have a virtual server running so that you can set up some servers and configure them, is that what you mean or are you just after the security side

So you want to get a certification so you don't have to take the class your secondary major requires?? Your going to end up installing keyboards for a living..

Just cheat yourself the education you're paying for..

not cheating myself, as I'll be studying for the cert test on my own time instead of taking a class on it
and the idea was brought up by the teacher in the first place

but i can see your side too, as I'd get hands on experience in the classroom.
i want a book more or less to read while i have free time between my day and night classes this semester

this summer I'll finish my programming degree, then the fall i should finish networking if my plans go well.

EDIT don't want the certification just so i don't have to take the class, as i was planning to take the test eventually anyway

was misinformed, he won't waive the server class only the security class
but if anyone knows of a book, i'm still interested

thanks
