Really? I could get a tasty dinner for that much. I'd like to know how fun the game is before I buy it.

It seems to be taking destruction cues from BC2, which is actually something I dislike. The reason I stopped playing BC2 is everything was chaotic, nothing was constant. When any cover can be destroyed, you're pretty much coming up with strategies on the fly that will never work.

Oh, of course, it's a one-vs-the other war, right? Like Republican vs Democrat?

I despise both BC2 AND MW2.

i just played it for 30 mins... sort of seems like it lacks polish. I wouldnt compare it to mw/BLOPs. feels more like Counterstrike source with destructible environments.

Not much thinking involved at all in the game really. Just means that by the end of the game most buildings will be destroyed by noobs using 40mm or a tank. It becomes pretty lackluster after a while especially since it always destroys the same way.

If the reviews are good enough on this game I might just pick it up.

I'd get it now because of the sale, but don't expect a polished and playable game right now.

I played it for 35 minutes and the first things I encountered were:

~ Terrible, no-way-to-fix mouselag (with and without VS)

~ Hitboxes are so painfully bad, I can kill someone by firing about ~3 yards away from their body (this is with 66 ping)

~ Doesn't utilize SLI yet, and it TORCHES my single card. I get something like 300 fps, and my card heats to 95c @ 100% usage; it's scary lol

~ Sprint animation is terrible

~ Reload animation for the handgun and texture of the hands are awful

~ Sound effects sound like something out of Quake 1

Edit:

~ Already ran into numerous hackers, running around the map at lightspeed one-shotting people

~ Textures are low resolution, and most aren't even bumpmapped (they all look flat as hell )

~ Almost all models are low-poly

~ The things that are destructible are repeated throughout each map, there is no variety

~ Each weapon feels cheap and disconnected; I can't seem to do any real damage with any of the guns except the RPG

~ Speaking of the guns, the textures on these guns are on level with CSS (same goes for character models)

All in all, this game needs a whole hell of a lot of polishing before it's ready for any actual playing. I advise you take this all with a grain of salt since results will vary; but I caution you to tread lightly if you're thinking of picking Breach up.

I'm not a hater, I really wanted Breach to be a good game. I've been following it for a few weeks now, waiting for my chance to pick it up.

What a bummer... :/
