PCIE Raid card dead?

Hi all,

I purchased a second hand pcie raid card from ebay and when i installed it and turned it on there was no life from the unit. such as no beep, no hard ware detection etc. my friend has the same card and when i tested his it worked fine so nothing wrong with the motherboard.

Does this mean its dead as a dodo or are there any tricks of the trade of how to get it going again like heating in oven? im willing to try anything!

its a lsi 320-2e pcie (dell branded perc 4e/dc)

Thanks for any help.

P.S. card was bargain price and they are quite rare so can't really send back to seller.

Hi thanks for replying.

Yes I have also tried his pc and another but still same result unfortunately. It's a big shame as they are quite hard to come by.

Anything else I could try?

If you tried his in yours... and yours in his... and it still doesn't work, it doesn't work.... unfortunately.
