Returned 2600 to get 2600k

I know it's not a mistake but I do have a few questions about overclocking it.
I'm currently at 4.5GHz and I haven't edited my sig rig yet, but I will when I find a 24/7 overclock.

1. I've set 1.325V in bios, and cpuz is showing 1.320V when idle, and 1.352V at load. It's stable, but is that voltage okay for 4.5GHz with HT on?
2. I can only set PLL overvoltage at auto, enabled, and disabled in bios. Which one?
3. Spread spectrum should be disabled, right?
4. Is there a way to set voltage for idle, and load separately in msi bios?

1. the general consensus is that <1.4v load should be fine 24/7, it can probably handle more, but only time will tell

2. for 4.5ghz it probably wont matter much, but if you're going for higher OC definitely enable it

3. i think most people disable it, although im not sure if it has an effect on OC

4. i dont have an msi p67, but i'm pretty sure the answer is no, you'll have to play aruond with LLC to get your idle/load voltage where you want it

Thanks. I'm still not sure about going further with OC. Maybe for some tests but I think 4.5GHz is pretty much all I need.

Between 4.4 and 4.6GHz seems to be about as high as the average chip can go while keeping at a relatively "safe" voltage (I mean, who knows what safe really is with this chip though).

You need to have PLL overvoltage enabled. If you want to bring your VCORE down you can up your PLL a little and youll see better temps too.
