Evga gtx 560

Thread Starter
will i hear any noise coming out of the capicators with this card because i know the msi one won't have this noise but will i have it with the evga one? and also can the 560 gpu handle 70 celsius or will it slowly decrease its life because i know diff gpus handle heat differently. Would it really make a difference to have it run a little cooler.

Any audible noise will come from the fan, which will not be much. Nvidia reengineered the cooling system on 500 serious partially for this reason. I haven't heard much about 560 thermals yet, but no, is the short answer. GPUs run hot. Very hot. The card will last you a long time so long as you keep the heat sink unclogged with dust.

My EVGA GTX 465's were noise-less. My MSi GTX 480 has cap whine like MAD when VSync is off.

if there is a cap whine on my gtx 560 do you think id be able to return it in newegg without the 30 percent restock fee
also what is wrong with having dust on the heatsink like what will it do to shorten the life just curios

the dust create more resistance to the airflow, which mean less airflow, which mean fan has to work harder which means shorter fan life which also mean card runs hotter.
i know that doesn't make sense xD

wait but wont that mean only the card will run hotter?
so hot cards will shorten life but i mean if it stays under 70 will i have anything to worry about and by that i mean will it lower the gpus lifespan

its a crap shoot just like overclocking. you are sometimes unlucky to have one that does it, but it doesnt effect the card in any way functionality or lifetime wise.
