Thrift store score, Hi-tek mech. keyboard

Cant find any info about this thing.. The switches are unlike any Ive seen before.. Granted I know nothing about keyboards... I'm IN LOVE with the layout, I use control as crouch in game, So the placement of it on this keyboard is PERFECT. The keys feel AMAZING... Where can I get an adapter for this thing? Got ideas for mods? Can I mod a PS2 cord onto it?

AWESOME DEAL!

Looks like my GF and me are going thrift store shopping this weekend.

OBTW, you need this adapter I believe: [ame="http://www.amazon.com/5pin-keyboard-cable-adapter-inches/dp/B003BMI4V6/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1296091210&sr=8-7"]Amazon.com: 5pin din keyboard cable adapter 6 1/2 inches long - 5 pin din female plug to ps2 port Male - basically - allows you to plug an older 5pin keyboard into a newer computer with a ps2 port: Automotive[/ame]

I recommend one w/ a length of cable as the bulky adapter can put a lot of stress on the PS/2 port and it can all out easily.

Looks like a good find thumb.gif Not sure on the switchs or anything, but for mods I'd clean up the white keys and paint the gray ones. Maybe even paint the topside black or something biggrin.gif

NMB Space Invaders.

The same ones the Razer Marketing guys use for their artwork for some bizarre reason - probably because they don't know rat's ass about mechanical switches.

After a quick google, it looks like they are NMB switches, and most hi-tek KBs are re-branded NMBs . at elast that's what i read

Hadn't read anything bad about them. a few bucks more towards a $1 mech. KB worth much more, is well worth it.

Can you take a pic of the model/serial stick so we can possibly find it online somewhere and appraise it to see just how big of a steal you got smile.gif

I just sold a NMB board with black space invaders....reminded me of Cherry MX Blue switches (light, tactile, and clicky).
