Gaming opportunities for the pc are countless.there are so many games, many of which are cheap (digital distribution) or free.
It is also backwards compatible (eg dosbox, glide wrappers)

On consoles you are limited by the joystick and the lack of inputs, overprized games, television problems, closed architecture etc.

PC requires more patience.

I own also a dreamcast (not included in OPs list so it counts!) and still play some games on it. In spring a new space shooter game comes out for that console and it looks awesome!

I found also an abandoned NintendoDS, bought the puzzle game Professor Layton 3 and thought is as one of the best and innovative games i have played so far. But a handheld, especially at puzzle solving, is very tiresome.

But a ps3 or xbox360? Not worth...my friend had bought a ps3 but the thrill was nothing compared to that of ps2, plus he had to buy a new tv and play only online. So he gave it to a friend who had not owned a console. The kiddies and teens though will not mind

all games run perfectly without the need to download patches or driver fixes. for the most part. No need to configure anything. .
I had to rofl at this, total rubbish. I guess Fallout NV for the consoles is an exception - or in fact, any other buggy release.

Know what i first did when my New vegas game wouldn't work on my PC? i went online, and downloaded some third party mods to make it work. Try and do that on a console (aka media hub)

methinks the console fanboys are suffering from denial, or are at least bitter because they've had some bad luck with their PC's - Truth is, a PC does everying a consoles does and more, and not only that, but better. And if it doesn't, it's at least fixable if the user has the know how.

It amuses me when i overhear console fanboyism, it's totally blind and illogical. Also lets try and remember that alot of the 360's/PS3's best games where originally on the PC first.
