H50 bad temp - Page 5

I would refit the cooler. I'm not familiar with Intel chips, but if the h50 can hold my 6 core steady @ 4ghz/1.48v with temps of 55c then I don't see how you could be going to 75c.

You should have the pump pluged into the main cpu connector and the two fans connected to main rail.
I would guess the cooler is not tight enough on the cpu or the fans mabye incorrectly set for push/pull. eg push/push or pull/pull

AMD chips run cooler than Intel chips and I think you're actually at almost near the 62c threshold.

AS5 has a cure time of 200 hours IIRC.

Lol dont use AS5, by shin-estu on ebay or summit.

I think your TRUE actually performs better then your h50, since my Mugen 2 even pwnt my H50.

Sounds like you should get your money back, And save for real watercooling.

What I did was turn the pc on, with the pump just touching the cpu, and tighened. Also that thermal paste needs to cure. Try to get rid of any kinks, even lit rd e ones so the pipes have good flow, to cure the paste, keep pc on doing the intel burn test, then shut off for a day or so. Should change your temps

Sorry about typos, Im on my phone. I meant was little kinks

Yes I have heard that, but his cpu is not exactly high end. Mine is a 6 core running at 4ghz. I refuse to believe it is to do with intel chips running hotter generally. Hell people are running overclocked i7s on the H50. There is something WRONG with the cooler or the way he has it installed. Fact.
Yes 62 is the threshold, 7c lower. That is plenty of room. When you OC you cannot expect to over around 45c.
(UNLESS YOU USE PROPER WC)

For one he's running a high voltage for the H50 and I'm sure the fans he's using aren't that great.

The people hitting 4Ghz on i7's have a low vcore most of the time and aren't using HT for the most part. Not to mention case airflow, ambient temp and fans etc etc all play big factors in the temps for the H50/70. i7's are also hit or miss when it comes to how much or how little heat they put out.

I honestly don't think his temps for the H50 are THAT off they could improve with better fans and some properly applied better TIM. The H50 comes with enough TIM to reseat 3-4 times if you scraped it off and saved it.

My temps with the AC on at 70F and Yate Loons as intake push/pull. Not far off if he gets proper fans and TIM IMO. Double check how it's mounted as well it can sometimes be tricky.

my prime95ed on heat mode for 1 hour stays at a max 76C, ur mount will be fine, its more likely a poor fan.
