Help with i7 950, o/c 4.14ghz - Ram

Hey there, I have a question, well a few, hoping you can help me

Ive seen the frequency of the cpu seems 2 have a effect on my ram

- still new to overclocking

I have Hynix 6GB DDR3 1333MHz CL9 RAM
(of the website i bought the computer from)

Mobo - asrock extreme3 x58

Now i see the following settings in my bios for overclocking the cpu and ram

I dont understand most of it, or which settings will work for me, any explanations, links or suggestions much appreciated (:

In the bios, i have the following in my overclocking page

cpu ratio - 23

qpi frequency options
6.480gt 7.920gt 8.64gt What is qpi, and what are these figures relating to ???




uncore frequency (what are these, what do they relate 2 / change?)

i think you should start with a nice overclocking guide before you ask for help. People here will help you, but we will not hold your hand through the whole process. I needed help for my OC too so dont feel bad, but i got it to 3.8GHz on my own and i understood what everything was so it was easier to help me up to the 4.2. So read up and try it out for yourself first! Do some google searches if you are still unsure and if you feel like you are close to being done but cant seem to make it stable, make another post and i am sure someone will help you out!
