It's a bottleneck in the sense that your components could handle a 1080 resolution with ease.

Can it run Crysis on Highest settings with 16x AA? Somehow I doubt it.

probably could run crysis at high settings, but with relatively low frames (i prefer my frames extremely high so that there is never stuttering). btw only crappy OEM monitors are bottlenecks, (like mine) resolution is just personal preference. yay for 1600x900!

Well this system can run Crysis at 15-35 FPS and I forgot what setting it was but I think either medium or high. Also I own a LG monitor and so far I very much like it tongue.gif. And I was actually of thinking going Crossfire later on if my system runs new games slow.

I wouldn't pay a dollar over $120 for that case.
Other then that the build looks good!

Low frames? Maybe not.
Well, not that low anyways.

My 720 X3 at 3.6Ghz with 5770's (5870 type performance) could run Crysis in DX10 at 1920 X 1080 with no AA/AF high settings, 25-60fps.

A single 6870 being pushed by a 2500 should handle things quite well if the build is properly setup and tuned.

6870 and 8GB of RAM on a 1600x900 monitor?

You can be sure of no bottlenecks, but that's an absoloute waste of power. Get a bigger monitor first then consider getting a big boy rig.

CPU Cooler Noctua NH-C14$89.99

This cooler is a waste of money imho. After seeing the horrible results at 4.0ghz tests with a 930.

Don't waste your money on this cooler. Go grab a silver arrow or nh-d14

Well the case and the PSU gets $30 combo discount and this is one of the few things I'd pay a premium for biggrin.gif Also I aim this computer to be future proof and may replace it 2-3 years from now. Oh and I decided on a C14 because : http://www.frostytech.com/top5heatsinks.cfm and some benchmarks: http://www.frostytech.com/articleview.cfm?articleid=2562&page=5 http://www.overclockers.at/articles/flexibler_riese_noctua_nh-c14/page_3 The D14 shows a bit of higher performance but the C14 is much more spacious and I personally favour more despite it will be in my case and I won't be looking at it.

Thing is that multiple reviews are showing that the c14 can't handle the voltages of high clocks. I personally wouldn't spend that much money on an inferior cooler. Especially one that is failing to keep a cpu @4.0ghz (with 2 fans running at full) that a 25$ hyper 212+ can.
