Hey Guys,

Any thoughts/ideas/upgrades/advices worth mentioning for my new Sandy Bridge build?

CASE: Corsair 650D/800D
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD4
CPU: Intel i7 2600k
RAM: 4 GB ( 2x2 ) Corsair Dominator CL9 ( 9-9-9-24 )
GFX: 2x Evga GTX 580 ( reused from previous build )
SSD: 2x Corsair Force 120 ( reused from previous build )
PSU: Corsair HX1000W ( reused from previous build )
SOUND: Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty ( reused from previous build )
BLURAY: Samsung SH-0B083 ( reused from previous build )

Anything i overlooked, anything else worth mentioning?

EDIT: Oh yeah, and the Corsair H50 as CPU cooler, don't want to WC this time.

Why bother going from a 930 to a 2600k?

Totally not worth it imo.

I want to test out the new 2600k as well as i want to change motherboard manufacture. I have had enough of problems with the Evga classy. I want to own a Gigabyte motherboard again.

Going from the first generation i7s to SB isn't really an upgrade. It's really not worth it.

I know that's not what you want to hear, but you're going to be kicking yourself when the actual upgrade to 1366 comes out soon.

You're in the US...

Evga support is unrivaled. There's likely a lifetime warranty on your board. If you're having problems, give them a call and they'll send you a new one. They really kick that much ass.

I wonder why you are telling me this. Last time i e-mailed Evga, i was greeted by a lazy, incompetent and careless customer service representative. This has happened several times in fact.

No, i strongly disagree that Evga support is unrivalled. The Corsair CS is by far the best i have experienced in my 20 years in the hardwareindustry. Evga is, on the other, by far the worst.

hmmm I emailed Evga on something as simple as there were no badges in my cards box's They promptly asked for my address and within 3 days I had them in my mailbox. With extras to boot ! I felt that was more than what they had to do. As I was being nit picky.

However I do agree... I love my Gigabyte board

Yeah i loved my Gigabyte boards from my previous build(s) as well, never had anything critical with them. However, the two Evga boards i own have been nothing but trouble, and the fact that the Evga CS are doing all they can to dodge is what ultimately makes my mind. My next build will probably be pure Gigabyte/Corsair.
