It's amazing to me that the same people who are so anti gun control are pushing so hard for this. What about the correlation between people who buy guns and people who are prone to violent crime. (Note I didn't say there was any causation, but there is a correlation).
What you are describing is not science. Good science does prove causation and also provides explanation for that causation. This does neither.
There's a difference between causing
cancer, or increasing the chance
to get cancer.
Smoking does not cause
Science proved that Coca Cola Light can even increase the chance of cancer because of the sweetner they used, which at first was meant as a medicine.
There was even a science that 'proved' that Milk could increase cancer, even a paper that bread could increase the chance of cancer.
From your anti-gun standpoint, it's been suggested in multiple studies, and common sense, that anyone will use a gun eventually, if you're paranoid enough to buy a gun to protect yourself or think your desperately need it, you're paranoid enough to use it if somebody looks at you in a way you do not approve.
