Hm. I think I am going to try that. It's kind of funny that my primary gpu runs cooler than the second one. But I'm going to take your advice. Thanks!

You mean an OCed 5870 right ? Because at 800MHz the 470 is already into GTX 570/HD6970 stock field. 850MHz easily surpasses those and 900MHz hits almost GTX 580 performance.

Here's a useful link if you wanna compare FPS:

My GTX 470 @ 800MHz: ~5300

How can 800mhz GTX470 is already into GTX 570 stock field??? it only produces 20k gpu score in vantage... i use daily now 850/1025 only gets 21150 gpu score in vantage when i use GTX570 stock clock from myfriend into my rig, got gpu score 22k but yes the range is now closer to stock 570 but still cannot beat stock 570....my opinion is GTX470 at 870-880mhz = GTX570 stock clock.... but 900mhz GTX470 (like Balla had) surely pass GTX570 stock clock smile.gif

The power of the 470 is that the common overclock from 607Mhz to 800Mhz is massive in %, because of the 'low' stock speed.

Many 470's are also capable of nearing 850Mhz on the stock cooler, which makes them perform well above a GTX480/570.

Mine won't go above 810-820 core while gaming... It just crashes the PC at some point smile.gif
And my temps are really low... like about 60*C...

With what kind of volts? 800 itself is already very decent on the stock cooler. Tried OC'ing the mem as well? It gives a nice little bonus boost.

775 core 1775 memory at 1.087v with Gelid Icy Vision Rev.2 cooler. That's a really stable gaming OC without any artifacts showing ingame. Other than that i can OC to 800/1600/1880 at 1.125v with a bit of artifacts rarely showing ingame. I'm testing it on Witcher 2 game and artifacts show for some reason only in dialogs and cutscenes. Other than that also 825/1650/1860 at 1.125v. Also showing some artifacts ingame. The last 2 OCs at 800+ haven't been tested for long periods of playing Witcher 2 but for about 15 min didn't have a driver crash.

Edit: I wonder if my Intel I5-750 2.66-2.8Ghz isn't bottlenecking a bit at higher OCs cuz the difference between 775-825core is really little. 42 FPS at 775 core and 44 FPS at 825 core clock.
