The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470 Overclocking Club - Page 81

Not sure on orientation though a guy at EOCF is running 4 680s on air and highest load temp was 70C on one of them. Not bad at all IMO. I plan on running CFX with another diamond 7970 as soon as i can get the rig actually built.

That's one thing i do love about my diamond on stock volts (1112mv) i'm at 1125/1575 with no problem. Benched at 1150/1600, upped voltage to 1137mv and benched at 1200/1700. Thinking once i get on water she's going to do great.
3d is what I'm going to go for too :-D

If I got a 670 and unlock voltage and oc it out the anus, it will still be slower than a 680 ocd to the max yes?

Reference version should be unlocked shouldn't it?

Yes technically cause clock for clock the 670 is slower than the 680 but it's not by much. 670 is around a stock 7970 performance wise maybe a tad slower? Either way it's a great card, just make sure you buy reference so you don't have to worry about voltage locks or worrying about find a water block that fits. I'm not really sure how kepler overclocks never really looked at reviews cause i settled on the 7970 after i saw that most of them overclock really well.

I wish that 670 prices would drop to 300$ flat i would pick up one or two for sure. It would be hard to pass up for 300$.

I've only had reference before (powercolour?) and it's always been unlocked to a point, then I've made modded bioses to up it further. I'll definitely need stock cos i'm using the xspc raystorm vga universal block and passive mosfet and ram sinks.

That's exactly what I'm waiting for, I'm just hoping when the 7s drop the 6s will be at run out prices biggrin.gif

I find that Nvidia cards tend to go EOL and disappear altogether when a new gen comes out, without ever actually dropping in price much. So don't hope for much.
