Just Got Black Ops - Page 2

The first week this game played horrible. I believe everyone had problems because there was a host issue -_-... I HAD problems until I turned Anti-Aliasing and Syn Every Frame off and also tweaked some of the console settings...

The only problem i really have to date is in the first minute of connecting to any server; I seem to stutter and freeze up slightly.

After the first minute, it runs smooth and no stuttering!^^

Hmmm I'll have to look into this. But shouldn't CFX or SLI configs be able to take highest settings without dropping frames especially with high end cards?

I would think so too, lol. The cards preform fine on other games... But for some reason if Sync Every Frame and Anti-Align is ON, it's like trying to play Black Ops with an old school ball mouse with a bunch of dirt stuck in it.

Maybe Nvidia needs to optimize SLI for this game on their next driver. I play with a single 480 without any problem. (125+ FPS, 1080p, AA 8x, Vsync off, and everything Max).

It's the coding. They're cheap, can't afford their own servers, so they code around player based servers. Error in coding, causes many disconnects and host migrations. I play it on XBOX and I get errors too.

"Max amount of disconnect path's exceeded" error as well. Especially when you're doing well and have a high amount of kills.

Yeah... I dunno. All I know is I can play Metro 2033 on extreme graphics at 1080p at 40 frames+. I have a feeling it a problem when porting it from console to PC, but then again there were problems with the console version too. Anyone ever heard of game testing before release?!?!?!

I would rather wait like everyone did for Starcraft II then deal with this crap IMO.
