Overclocking Corsair Vengeance RAM

Thread Starter
Hi all,

I have a Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit and want to overclock it. Looking at the Overclockers Club Review it is possible to overclock the frequency to 1980 MHz 9-10-9-27. Could anyone give me instructions on how to do the with software or i the BIOS (Step-by-Step please. Never overclocked RAM before redface.gif ). I have the Asus M4A87TD/USB3 motherboard.

Any response would be greatly appreciated.

OCSE**

1910Mhz 9-10-9-27 wouldn't be worth it over something such as 1600 7-8-7.
Try 1600 7-8-7 first, I'm sure you could do it.

I also have and asus M4 board and it says it's capabe of doing 2000mhz ram oc. But in the bios under frequencies the highest option it gives is 1600. My ram is also the Vengeance 2x4GB set. With XMP-1866mhz. The highest i've gotten so far is 1600. How do I push it up to at least 1866? So I'm at least getting what I payed for?

Overclock using the bus and not only the CPU multiplier. Then you will get a higher memory clock.
