Thread Starter
Hi guys, just im default back my cpu from 3.1ghz to 2.6ghz with an i5-750 because im planing oc the cpu after i get an cpu cooler.

So the problem is when im default back to 2.6ghz,the clock speed keeps on 2667MHz (Before will decrease when idle) .
And the voltage are 1.26v when idle on 2.6ghz.

What's the problem from?could anyone tell me ?

Firstly what are you using to monitor the speed of the chip?

Personally I would trust CPU-Z over other things such as coretemp to name one.

Secondly, your processor has a turbo mode that can take it up to 3.2GHz when it is under load.

That's standard to these chips and nothing to worry about, could that be the issue?

Im now are setting to auto, just let the cpu speed to default(2.67GHz).But for now the CPU-Z are viewing my core speed are 2800MHz never drop down when idle even i enabled the speedstep. And the most problem are the voltage...2.67GHz @ 1.26V

Anyway i founded the solution about it...
Formerly is cause the power option in the windows at Control Panel -> Power Options and i choose the High performance selection So by choosing the balance, those problem are gone immediately.
