You hear that Foppa is practicing with the team, yeah? Let's hope he signs and gets them out of this godawful slump they're in.

On topic: I highly advise anyone who hasn't rooted their phones to do so. Rooting provides SO many more options to you. My Nexus 1 makes me enjoy the move to a smart phone.

Reply to your off-topic: Indeed! I'm a bit of a nutjob. So much so that I spend money I could spend on my computer on game worn jerseys. Just got the one Liles set the assist streak record in! Whether Foppa signs or not, him practicing with a young team that is in the 2nd year of a rebuild has got to be some serious positive mojo for the team. I just wish Andy would find his groove again and am really looking forward to next year when we can sort out our defensive woes.

On topic: Exactly! So many more options that I have yet to even begin to explore, I mostly rooted for the purpose of running a different rom. Best decision I could have ever made for my phone.

Yup. Rooting your phones make them amazing. That video on page 3 looks like the software lags a lot. I'll have to show how smooth android 2.3.2 runs on my Nexus One running CM7. Oh and I rAn android on my HD2 I bought just for that reason. Ran pretty great on it actually. I missed trackball notifications and a few other things my nexus one does. Any phone with no notification LED seems dumb. (nexus s)

Regarding rooting and your warranty. This is all just up in the air and depends on the situation. My phone is OEM Unlocked and rooted and everything else. I've had many nexus one friends send they're phones that are fully rooted back to HTC to fix screens, power button, or other things and get full warranty replacements or repairs. Theyll replace ur rom with a stock vanilla flash though. HTC unlike motorola. Takes it pretty lightly. But maybe that's just the nexus one since it's like the poster child for Dev Phone!

What the hell are you doing in Japan buying game-worn jerseys? LOL They definitely need a tougher defense. Think old-school Foote+Blake combo.

As for rooting, I've seldom heard of anyone bricking their phones unless they didn't follow the instructions. It's really just as simple as it could possibly be with the software out there.

The latest CM7 (GB) builds have been great. Sure, they are lacking SOME features still, but these are still Alpha releases and they run SO much smoother than CM6 (Froyo) ever did. Can't wait for a stable release.

HTC Desire - 474.98$ Link

Screen Size: 3.7
Resolution: 480x800
Type: AMOLED
Processor: Snapdragon 1GHz
RAM: 576MB
ROM: 512MB, microSDHC card
Camera: 5MP, LED

Apple iPhone 4 (32GB version) [Most expensive version] - 807.62$ Link

Screen Size: 3.5
Resolution: 640x960
Type: IPS LED
Processor: A4 1GHz
RAM: 512MB
ROM: 32GB
Camera: 5MP, LED
2nd Camera: 0.3MP

As you can see, 32GBs add quite a bit to the price. Price of 32GB microSDHC: 76.99$ Link

It all boils down to whether you think the iPhone 4 is a better buy or not. It depends on the user. That was a quick and dirty comparison, but I don't find the Apple prices to be that much out of the ordinary, seeing how many HTC phones are around that price unlocked (based on Windows Mobile variants). These prices could reflect the fact that Android is cheaper and the proliferation of phones in the market, whereas there is only one manufacturer of the iPhone.
Did you honestly highlight the 576MB of RAM and compare it to 32GB of ROM? Unless you meant to highlight the ROM? Also, comparing resolution on devices this small is ridiculous. I haven't seen any people stare at their phone with a millimetre of distance apart. Erm but I said that the iPhone 4 was a good piece of hardware but overpriced. You've just helped to prove that to be honest. It's $800. That's ridiculous. So, what's the point you're trying to make/prove?

No he highlighted it against the iphone 4's ram and said the Desire has more RAM..

If they port this to iphone 4 & calling and everything works properly.. I'm all over that. I loved my nexus and ios is utterly crap. It's far too closed, there is literally no freedom at all.

Imagine how many community developers we'd have if there were less android phones released every year. It's no shock to me that the iphone is getting the unofficial updates first.
