Please people, save reviews for the end of year
Like I said though, at the end of the year, its always "PC Gaming is dead". So that's usually the end of the year reviews .

While PC gaming isn't dead, the competitive scene has died down drastically since 2007.

MLG/Xbox360 console gaming is sadly where the money and sponsorship is these days.

LOL, for some reason that reminded me of Dragon Age. "Maker help us all"

As for the upcoming titles, I'm not really sure. Every year I get all hyped up about a handful of titles and most of 'em turn out to be nonsense (except for a few).

Duke won't even come out just watch

There is also Skyrim which hopefully isn't just a clone of Oblivion (since fallout 3 seemed that way for me).

dnf, brink, rage, portal2... AH this year is gonna be awesome XD it was supposed to start the awesomeness this january... but... a lot of stuff got pushed back a few more months i hope all those titles ACTUALLY get released this year... ill be more than happy to drop release price on each one of those and thats something i never do

as far as 2004 goes... the years around it all kinda blended together for me lot of great titles, quake4, doom3, ut2k4, painkiller...
Kinda meh now...

Not sure what Xbox 360 tourney's give out for first place, but the Starcraft II GSL tournament is 85,000 USD for the first prize. And they seem to be every month.

The GSL first prize is now $40k, but the other players in the top group (code S) get more cash prizes.
