Guys, the original Game Boy had a power draw of 0.7W and it ran on AA batteries. Imagine that power draw is similar (should be sub 1W), and it'll be using a powerful Li-Ion battery, it's battery life should last plenty. It's funny how people think Sony doesn't know how design portable systems or something, or that they don't hire Engineers to make their products.

Yet another hand held design from Sony that will give you hand cramps after playing for 30 minutes. 4 hours battery life seems about right. If it was any more I would be pleasantly surprised. The original PSP wasn't exactly known for its long battery life.

$300 I think. Beyond this I would not consider getting it. No UMD? I probably use my PSP mostly for watching movies on trains/planes etc so it makes me sad.

Why Sony! Why won't you give me 4 bumpers! For real though. That's the only thing that separates this from a controller. I don't care if it's big, or a little less sleek, but I want buttons. In all honesty 1/2 of what makes PC gaming better is the massive amount of buttons.

that's nice and all but battery life trumps graphics in portable consoles. The true way to enjoy graphics and sound is sitting confortably on a big screen in the privacy and quietness of your home.

This thing will retail at 350 tops, with a couple of bundled games, charger, and a case.

That being said, I can't wait. I didn't buy a PSP ever, even though I've been aching to play the MGS games on it. Now, I'll definitely be getting this AND all the MGS games. Happy time!

Awesome specs. I hope it isn't going to look like that ugly bloated PSP they have pictured. That may just kill it for me...

The orig went for $250. 3DS will go for $250. I'd guess $300.
