[2500k] L039B086 Good chip, bad temps

My previous 2500k which I sold only did about 4.5Ghz at 1.38v with load temps of 66c.

My new one does 4.8Ghz at 1.35v with load temps of 67c (air, d-14 w/ IC7)

I'll post screenies once I play around with it more, trying to lower voltage atm.

I've reseated 3 times very tediously and got identical temps every time(dot in the middle, IC7), the spread was perfect when I removed the sink. It seems this chip runs quite a bit hotter than my last one, I could do 5Ghz Stable at 4.3v but temps reach 77c. I ran 5Ghz at 1.43v for 2 hours with the window open, 67c max.

Would it even be safe to run 1.43v with 77c load temps...? I was thinking maybe I could prime with the window open and leave it for 24/7 use, I don't really do benchmarks just light gaming and web browsing so the cores don't really heat up with everyday use.

Could it be bad temp sensors for 2 of the cores? How accurate are these sensors?

At 1.35v my temps are:
59c 64c 67c 62c

At 1.4v temps are:
62c 74c 74c 66c.

at 1.43 temps are:
64c 76c 77c 67c

My old chip had 65c load temps (on max core) with 1.38 vcore. Are my temp sensors lying to me or could it be that this chip simply runs hotter than my last?

I'll settle for 4.8Ghz 24/7 I'm not gonna keep pushing 5 until I get some better air cooling... which doesn't really exist atm, the Silver Arrow is only marginally better than d-14. I doubt that strapping some San Aces on my D-14 would help tremendously. Using slipstream 1900 / noctua nf-p14 fans
on the heatsink.
What would Jesus do?

I think ATM your graphics card is going to be the limiting factor in gaming - 4.8 or 5ghz isn't really going to matter, you won't see any difference, so its more for bragging rights. If your just browsing the web ect. then really there is no reason for such a high overclock Just my .02

Jesus would be happy with what he was given, and not ask more of it.

You make a good point actually. I was thinking about that yesterday. Well, without the Jesus part.
