[CVG]Heavy Rain film being 'fast-tracked' - Page 2

I liked "Hitman". The last games -> movies I saw was that horrible movie called "Max Payne".

Its always interesting to see how they will bridge the gap between something you are supposed to sit and absorb versus something you are supposed to interact with.

My first problem is with the title change. Heavy Rain has an "artsy" sound to it but it drives home a feeling and conjures up good imagery. Rain just sounds like we couldn't think of anything better than looking outside to see what the weather was that day.

I'll definitely check it out. I loved the game. It basically made my PS3 purchase worthwhile

PS: Link goes to a news article about the PSP2

Well Heavy Rain was supposed to be the equivalent to an interactive movie rather than a fully interactive game. Making a movie out of it seems kinda pointless as it will essentially be a shorter version of the game on autoplay.

And genuinely during these media transistions parts of the story or even the whole thing change so you lose what made that original great. If they really wanted to make money, make the story of the movie part of an extended universe. If they can do that without too much confusion or too many plot holes than people might be motivated to go back and read the book or play the game.

Eh, Tomb Raider left a bad taste in my mouth especially the second one. I don't think it could have been more true to the game, but the stories kinda sucked and there was a layer of cheese over everything.

Yes, and to be fair, the first resident evil wasn't too bad. Then in the second, the main character becomes Jean Grey from the XMen, and the XMen bust her out of her prison, rather, she uses her Psychic powers and walks out of prison and the XMen pick her up.

I didn't even bother with the last two.

I loved Heavy Rain.

And the story could make for a great movie.
That's a massive could. It'd require a hell of a lot more effort than most big-screen ports get.

Bioshock COULD make a good movie, if it was done right.

I'm pretty sure Uwe Boll does that all by himself.
