MSI HD5750 OC + Few Questions

Thread Starter
Im currently OC'ing my card and I was wondering. Is it safe to overclock this card with 500W PSU ?

And if yes then how far can I go ?

Currently at 870/1350 + 100 % fan speed with latest catalyst:

I was thinking of going 900/1350 but I need some additional opinions.
Ive read somewhere that 900/1350 is achievable without changing the voltage wich I dont wanna rly mess with since Im barely rookie with oc...

Anyways Im looking for your opinions folks.

Regards.

/edit:

If I can go for 900/1350 then what program would you people recomand ? ATI Tray Tools or Riva Tuner or what else ?

You should be able to hit 900MHz core, you can use MSI Afterburner, with unofficial overclocking enabled.

Go to the install folder, open up MSIAfterburner.cfg file and change the "EnableUnofficialOverclocking = 0" to 1

Done but I have experienced some difficulties. When Ive set it to 900 after this I lost the fan control and I couldnt no longer check the fan control or gpu in catalyst. Restarted and its okay but I wanna try that 900 without having such problems :/

You can set up user-defined fan speeds in afterburner, its in the settings. And a little to the left of the fan speed controller in afterburner, there should be a button which has a small "User-defined" or something, that will enable it.

EDIT: 500th post.

I know but when I do it then it wont work. Also when I set it to 900/1350 I also get the voltage to 1.10 (I dont have voltage control enabled) but its like enabling the cart to work at maximum clocks and voltage. This is confusing... I reseted to defaults both in catalyst and afterburner did a restart and seems fine but I dont want my card to run at 900/1350 and 1.10v ALL THE TIME :/

If your temps are fine, it won't be a problem. And try using only MSI afterburner. The user-defined fan speeds works quite well for me w/o using CCC, and my card overvolted at the moment, it idles at 34C and max 72C in MSI kombustor, at 1440x900, Post-Fx, D3D 10, 8XMSAA with 950/1375MHz.
