I have the same board (extreme version though) and I have 6950 Xfired. However, I have same problem with CCC saying 0* on second card. But I ran heaven Benchmark (search for 5770 vs 6950 vs Xfired 6950) and did see a jump in FPS with one card and then Xfired. I think it comes down to some games just not utilizing Xfire.

Oh then yea somethings definitely wrong if you are getting the same FPS/scores in benches. I am not sure about the formula version but on the extreme version there is a switch on the board to activate/deactivate the PCI-E lanes. If the formula version has this is the switch flipped to enabled??

Hmm, then I am at a loss. I know you said you tested each card, but did you test each card in the different slots you are using? Might not be bad card, could be bad slot. My crossfire was surprisingly easy to setup. I would also check your manual and see what BIOS options are related to Xfire. there are always some, and I am sure that is the case with these boards.

GL OP.

So both cards work, tried older drivers? You said you get the same fps with 2 cards in benchmarks, you mean the same as a single card? If that's so, then it's a driver problem somewhere, even if it's being recognized. I would suggest removing any current driver and rolling it back.

I believe the card may need to be forced to not idle, which is in the registry. Forgot what it's called but I'll take a look and edit my post if I happen to find it.

Never mind the registry fix was for something else.

I have tried the regestry-stuff. And I have checked the manual. No bios settings or switches. I have tried all the drivers. Format C next

i use 2x 6850's by HiS in CF w/ eyefinity though last 2 days my preformance has been very inconsistant that requires a system reboot to fix it...idk why but anyway, my buddy has the formula 4 crosshair and hates it, he uses 2x 5670 in CF, his WEI score is a 7.0...i put 1 of them in my computer and it rated a 7.2 so that was definately odd...anyway what i'd recommend is downloading furmark for your benchmark because it has single/multi GPU benchmarking options, run the bench then rollback to the 10 series catalyst and see if this helps
